Interns who otherwise qualify with the Government will be elligible for Government assistance. The addition of a second year course results in a diploma in Christian Minsitry. Interns in the program will complete basic training and concurrently gain a wide range of experience in ministry. Graduates are expected to go out qualified with CRC Leadership and Minister Competencies. The program is designed to be neutral financially by providing that times are available for income generation. There is no local charge for the program per se other than normal user costs for the CRC College fees passed on. For external students, it will also be necessary to have a savings base, or backing, suitable to the individual circumstances to allow for unpredictable expenses or income fluctuations. Ideally, single interns external to the church will board with leaders of the church. Board will be negotiable depending on the conditions and requirements. The program is open to married couples and families on the merit of the applicant provided that the key applicant is available to fully participate in the program. Interns will be interviewed and assessed each quarter and receive feed back. Those who pass will receive a revised plan for the next quarter. Those who fail may re apply to recommence the program and consideration will given to this on merit. Assessment areas will include health, task/role achievements, reliability, team work, academic achievement, character development. . Pathways Credentialing. Suitable graduates will be elegible to apply for a Trainee Ministers Credential and be required to complete the Diploma year and then apply for a Minister Credential. Pastoring. Credentialed Ministers will then be experienced enough to apply for vacancies in their own church or other churches, or participate in church planting from their home church. Church Planting. We have a particular interest in home mission expressed in church planting. Some graduates may be suitable for partnership with Diggerland to plant churches when there is not a suitable enough home church to do so. Such candidates would also complete the CRC "Toolshed" church planting school Missionary Work. Graduates may also undertake CRC missions training to further specialise in overseas mission work. This is usually a 1 week full time course. See CRC website for any details of the next school. Contact Steve Williams to request more information about this exciting program. |
